Director
Ben Smith
I joined the fire protection industry in 1994 as an apprentice within a design department, trained as a designer, trained as a project engineer and as an estimator before moving to Argus Fire in 2001. Having been here since I’ve been fortunate enough to undertake other roles such as project manager, estimating manager, senior manager, associate director and now a board director.
Having undertaking these roles over the years I like to think that I have a good understanding of our business, I enjoy the thrill of securing and delivering projects and all that comes with it. I love what I do and enjoy coming to work.

Since joining Argus Fire in 2001 I have progressed from a CAD engineer through to being promoted to the board of directors. The progression has seen me develop through design and contracting departments, so that I can assist in all areas of the business within the role of board director.
Having an overview of operations in London is something that is challenging, but with a great team around me both on site and in the office; makes the day to day responsibilities a pleasure and something that I relish each day.
Argus Fire are a great company with their staff at the heart of everything, delivering first class service to all of our clients; and a company that has helped me develop my own skillset. I am now in the position where I can assist the next generation into the fire protection industry, so that we can ensure that Argus Fire has longevity as the ‘preferred sprinkler contractor’.
